The RS-1 well has 5 perforation intervals, of which 3 are still in production, namely at a depth of 1080 ft – 1090 ft, 1162 ft – 1168 ft, and 1174 ft – 1184 ft, while the intervals 1184 ft – 1192 ft, 1217 ft -1227 ft have isolated using a cup packer assembly. Where the interval 1080 ft 1090 ft is known to have a 99% water cut, the 1162 ft – 1168 ft interval has a 98% water cut, and the 1174 ft – 1184 ft interval has a 98% water cut. There are several ways that can be used to reduce water production, including water shut-off, recompletion and relative permeability modifier.
